First sign of progress!

Other than the sign that reads "Another fine home by Skyline Ranch Homes," there has been no indication that anything has happened regarding our property. But now...

The lot has been graded. Because the lot slopes pretty dramatically, they had to carve a section that looks like an amphitheater towards the back (uphill) and push all that dirt forward to raise the front of the lot. We are told that there will be final grading done after the house is finished so we don't know how much it will look like this at the end.

Next in the process is the "trenching" where they dig the trenches for the underground pipes, conduits, and plumbing. Then we have to go to the water company and arrange for the water meter to be installed. The builder can't do that because the local water district requires the new home-owners to come in.
